Join the HVG server
Install the map and client, then add the server address below. This guide will help you connect and choose your first bus.
hohenkirchen.depart.cloud:37015
Choose UDP when joining For the best experience, select UDP in the Multiplayer screen’s Join via setting before clicking Join. Choose UDP explicitly, as openOMSI may default to WebSocket. Allow about 15 seconds to connect. Use WebSocket only if UDP cannot connect.
Install what you need
-
01
Have OMSI 2 installed
openOMSI uses your existing OMSI 2 installation, maps and vehicles. It does not include the game or any of its add-ons.

Install Hohenkirchen version 2
You’ll need the Hohenkirchen add-on, bought separately. Install its version 2 content and updates through your retailer, then follow the included manual. The map folder is Hohenkirchen - Herrenhof.

Add the server and take a slot
Add hohenkirchen.depart.cloud:37015 in the openOMSI Multiplayer screen. For the best experience, set Join via to UDP before clicking Join, as the client may default to WebSocket. Load Hohenkirchen - Herrenhof and choose a free bus.
Sometimes the duty list and the server's clock don't match: the list runs the whole day, first departure to last, even when it's deep evening on the server. If that's how you find it, do it in this order:
- Check the time on the server, in the Day and weather tab.
- Choose the line you like on the next screen.
- In the duty list on the right, scroll down to the server's time: pick a tour leaving in the next few minutes, or one that left a few minutes ago if you're running late. Click it and run that one.
- If that tour has nothing left to catch, choose another tour on the same line.
Troubleshooting
Check the status page first. If the server is online, connect to hohenkirchen.depart.cloud:37015 using UDP. If UDP does not connect, use https://hohenkirchen.depart.cloud for a WebSocket connection.
Check that the Hohenkirchen add-on is installed in the OMSI 2 folder used by openOMSI. Its map should be at OMSI 2/maps/Hohenkirchen - Herrenhof/global.cfg. Follow the add-on’s manual if files are missing.
Our server uses Hohenkirchen - Herrenhof, version 2. Check your installed version and updates, and avoid mixing it with an older or modified map folder. If you’re unsure, tell us what is installed before replacing anything.
Check the address and your openOMSI build first. The client can take a little while to agree a connection with the server. Give it time, then try adding the server again. UDP is preferred; if UDP does not connect, use https://hohenkirchen.depart.cloud for a WebSocket connection.
Check that your openOMSI profile name exactly matches your depart.cloud crew ID, then select Hohenkirchen on your profile. Time is recorded while you’re working a tour. Your Westcountry duties stay in their own record.
A wired connection and UDP usually help. If it keeps happening, ask us in Discord with your openOMSI build, crew ID and the approximate time. That gives us somewhere to start.
